Re: carb troubles
If that's all you did , i would say the exhaust isn't seated the same way to the head , when you first took it off , making it run different .
Run the bike to get all the carb cleaner you sprayed in there out . Don't know if you have a air filter or stock filter housing on there , but make sure you didn't super soak it with the carb cleaner .
Try to get the bike warmed up , by keeping the throttle open some and riding it . After this , if the idle is too low , and can't keep the bike running , try adjusting the idle screw first .
If that doesn't work , look at , and remember what position the fuel/air screw is .
Hold the throttle at a high idle (not super high , just a high idle) . Then slowly turn the fuel/air screw in (closckwise) till the rpm's drop a little . Then slowly turn it out till they pick back up .
Then release the throttle , and try to adjust the idle screw , so the bike idles .

Re: carb troubles
UPDATE: my carb is leaking gas out of the float drain tube when it warms up and idles.when it idles the gas leaks out like a heavy drip not stream and the idle will go into high rpms then low. ill revv it and it will stay in high rpms even when i let off for another 5 seconds sometimes. you guys think i should just tear it down or rebuild it or just get 18mm carb from bbr??
Re: carb troubles
Being that you pulled the exhaust, you should check all the head and intake gaskets and bolts.
I know for a fact that a leaky valve cover gasket on the front of head can cause leaks and idle fluctuations.
FOREVER I thought I had carb trouble. I had stopped a small oil drip from that gasket impatiently with a bead of high temp RTV silicone. BAD CALL!
Tried 3 carbs before detecting the actual problem.
Make sure all gaskets are good on head and intake and everything is tight and I'll bet your woes will be over.
