Crankcase disassembly????

I just bought a new crankcase for my fiddy and I'll be swapping my internals to the new one this weekend. I've never done this before. Does anyone know of any tips, tools, or precautions I should take? I'm trying to find a manual for the crf50. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Crankcase disassembly????

just take your time and watch for sharp metal i shredded a few of my fingers putting a 5-speed with a manual clutch on my bike. and there is a bunch of small stuff that if it isnt in the right place it will cause big problems. on the dowel things a little bit of anti-seize will keep them in place during re-assembly. and use as much thread lock as possible

Re: Crankcase disassembly????

get a service manual for sure, because there are things that willfall out of palce before you can see them when taking it apart and if you dont' know how they went you'll be screwed
