Fuel problems with high wheelies?
Fuel problems with high wheelies?
Hey guys, well my question is this, If your pulling 12's or wheelies with your front tire really high in the air have you ever noticed that your not getting enough fuel? Im still new in stunting my fiddy but i want to get a 12 bar and start learning to wheelie really high up. But since its only a gravity feed for fuel is there any problems there? Iv got Street tires and a handle bar kit on order right now so i can hopfully get better at this, do you think its worth getting a 12 bar now? or should i wait, also whats the best one out there?
Re: Fuel problems with high wheelies?
my F.I. bar has taken a beating, and done it well!! stiffens the subframe ALOT.
as far as fueling goes...every fiddy i've ever ridden has the same problem at 12. you're technically rotating the carb about 90 degrees past where it's designed to run, so it's not gonna function right. some bikes are worse than others, but they all do it.
the only way mine runs on the bar is damn near wide open, anything less, and it'll die.

Re: Fuel problems with high wheelies?
it's gonna die no matter how much you lean out the float hieght.
you can get a it a little better, but it's not going to run right at 12 no matter what you do. the only real way to fix it would be to come up with a fuel injection system to replace the carb.
