Gaten,
Ive got a 03 raptor that is bone stock. 1st thing, did you do an exhaust and a Jet kit? My last raptor when i fucked w/ the jets , needles & **** it ran awful when I tried to wheelie.

W/ mine stock, I can 12 it pretty well and keep riding like that - any quad is gonna stutter some when its right up and down. The best way to prevent this is not to go on and off the gas - keep a steady throttle - when you let off the throttle when ur @ 12, it stucks air and bogs down. If you keep the gas up and work the clutch - you can get some serious slow speed 12 action. Another dude on here suggested to bump ur idle up on the raptor to help out.

My boy teamsquidlyG1 has a 01 raptor that he stunts hard. He has it modified and dialed the carbs in good. He fucked w/ the float levels & got it to run @ 12 good. He can crawl @ 12 and stop w/ out hitting the bar.

Good luck man! Oh yeah, good luck w/ the 01 raptor. hope you dont have the problems those normally do w/ the tranny's, clutches & starters. My boys hasn't broken yet. I guess you either have a good one or a bad one.

PIECE!

I just waiting for edlebrock to release the damn quicksilver stunters need accelerator pumps. As for the 12 situation to ride vertical you will need to keep the gas tank full and the idle up or your gona lose it. What happens is the gas runs out of the bowl and the jet cant get at it think about tilting a glass on it side, however I found by fudgin with the levels I have it almost dialed in but lettin off gas evertime cause the loss of fuel. Oh course a simple fix is FUEL INJECTION so anytime the JAPS are ready to hop on this would be appreciated

I had that same sputtering problem with my Raptor with the 12s. I tried a lot of things including adjusting floats and re-jetting and that only helped a little. The one thing I figured out that really helped was turning the fuel petcock "off" right before I pulled it up. It wouldn't sputter at all when I did that. I would be able to wheelie for a few 100 yards and then have to turn the petcock back on for a second before the carbs ran out of fuel. I would do this while still in a wheelie. It's good practice. I sold my Raptor and got a Z400. The Z doesn't have this problem. Neither does any of the Honda 4 wheelers.

Hey guys,
I got a 660 grizzly that I stunt (sounds funny but when I get vid you can see) the automatic tranny works wonders for wheelies, when I started I also found that the 660 didnt want to run in a 12, well I soon fouond out that it was more ME than the bike, with a nice steady throttle, and wheelie the bike will go for ever. I can do crossed up wheelies, special k's, clickers, special k clickers, iron cross, flamingo's, combos( jump from pegs to seat and flamingo, back to pegs, clicker, crossed up all in one wheelie) I hang with all the guys from GMO so if we got the camera out some day we gotta get this sh*t on footage.
Peace, Mike

F yeah man! Stunt anything you can! Im workin' on a new trick that I saw in the starboyz video - from standing on the seat - to jumping onto the seat & putting your legs over the bars. DOnt' worry, I got this **** on lock.

We need a New England quad stunna Competition.
