just a little update with the 88 problems. The popping noises was due to a gasket that wasn't seated properly so the jug didn't have a good seal. The reason it is reving out so quick is because you need to change the gearing to get the most out of your big bore. with the stock sprockets it will have a ton of torgue but no top end so the gears will seem very short. Solution=get a 34 or 35 tooth rear sprocket.
