WHATS WITH THE BS. 88cc kits
Re: WHATS WITH THE BS. 88cc kits
TrailBikes is not a knock-off company, thats just a stupid thing to say. TrailBikes has been around since the early 90's and was started at around the same time as Classic Honda, they were just primarily restoration for z50's. TrailBikes is to be included with the originals portion of what you said, please do yourself a favor and go educate yourself on this before posting dumb information.
Re: WHATS WITH THE BS. 88cc kits
Bottom line i have yet to hear bad things about tb race head kit...So for the money i'm upgrading my kitaco 88cc kit with it....If something goes wrong it sounds like tb stands behind thier product .... which is good enough for me

Who came out with the encono manual clutch kits first Takegawa or TB? Whoever came out after the other knocked off the kit, I assumed it was TB because its cheaper and that usually how they(knock offers) do it. They are almost identical TB come with a different primary gear combo but the covers are the exact same besides the Takegawa having the logo etched in the cover plate.
Anyone know?
Re: WHATS WITH THE BS. 88cc kits
takegawa has been around alot longer than tb.
and powroll has been around the longest
if you want a big bore the cheapest ive seen is this but you have to have your own 70 cylinder
http://www.powroll.com/P_HONDA_ATC-CL-SL-TRX70.htm
powroll products are made in the usa

the econo manual kits are exact replicas of what Honda made on the late 60s early 70s

Re: WHATS WITH THE BS. 88cc kits
Yes, the Clutch that TrailBikes and Takegawa sales is a copy of the 1976 XL70 clutch, but TrailBikes is now slightly differnt having a 3rd plate where the Takegawa does not. Also TrailBikes manual clutch was on the market before Takegawas, but Takegawa had their 5 plate on the primary clutch out before, but as everyone knows only people with deep pockets can afford it.
And yes I never said Takegawa hadnt been around longer because they obviously have, I was just stating that TrailBikes is not just some new company, they have been in this business since 1993. And yea, Powroll has been around the longest, there is certainly no disputing that, but however they are not the best for performance any longer.

Re: WHATS WITH THE BS. 88cc kits
I had issues with my atomic50's 88cc kit. Mike at trailbikes, who didn't even sell me the kit, took care of me. He is one guy who stands behind his product. So in short, if the tb kits are still cheap knock off peices of **** after you install one for yourself, and nobody at tb will help you out, then by all means tell everyone how shitty, and worthless they are. Untill then...............you know what to do....(stfu)
Re: WHATS WITH THE BS. 88cc kits
i didn't even read this whole thing but damn. I figured on stuntlife at least people would realize that the tb kits are cheap pieces of ****. I have seen 2 tb kits without the head. they both knock bad, and compared to a takegawa s-stage kit they fall off on the top end. So i ran my s-stage all year and with all this tb hype i figured i would get this magical race head to see its all mighty power and give tb one last shot and im still not impressed. The rocker arms have all kinds of slop, the valves arent lapped, i had to grind that huge frigin shark fin to get my skid plate to line up with the hole on my jug. The intake manifold is poorly designed wich is why that plastic spacer is there to keep your carb from hitting the jug. and if you don't put the manifold on the head and line everything up with your finger first it won't be lined up good at all. Now to the power everyone says this makes a but load of power, i have it running good and it does not make the loads of claimed power id say tops it makes 1 more hp than my s-stage did and wouldn't have wasted my money on it now that i look back on it. Save your money and get a quality takegawa kit imo. dont get all offened or whatever i dont know if everyone on here is friends with mike from tb too but these are just my experiences im not just saying oh they are cheap they are crap, i have ran both kits and still think they are crap.
Re: WHATS WITH THE BS. 88cc kits
just a question, honestly? how many of you are sponced or sell **** for mike? cuase some of us have brought it up before in other places and we told no one was just to find out they are.
And as far as the quality. TB's are copies of copies. thats why their quality is so bad. granted, some of them come out all right but some of them dont. it is also in how they are made. the tolerances are alot lower so they can be made cheaper. just as a reference, if you take mazda and ford. everyone says that mazda's run forever and the engines usually outlast the bodies, ive never heard anything like that about ford, but they are the same engines. its becuase the mazda's are made in asia with tighter tolerences so the parts come out better and even ones that dont come out as close as they are supose to are still better than how far off others are.
forgive me if im prepeating anything or whatever, i got through 2 1/2 pages of this garbage and its all 100% BULLSHIT. you get what you pay for, plain and simple. their is a reason some cost more. they take the time to make it right.

The Takegawa is a 3 plate Im pretty sure
but the TB come with different primary gears and the Take does not.
Nice to see more people share my opinion on this, and dont just say Im stupid for paying more for Takegawa parts.
