WHATS WITH THE BS. 88cc kits

ok how do you just close a thread like that? do you just give up that easy. wow. (88cc kits) was asking peoples opinions what kit is better and i put an opinion and so did some other people but weed racer said (your dumb ) then people and the original person who opend the thread cbxr50 said what is your guys problems because you guys start calling me dumb because i put down my opinion, so weedracer and fab5fiddy if you dont wanna help someone than stay out of the (fiddy tech: help and how to) section. now the question is are you man enough to step up or are you gunna close this thread to?

Re: WHATS WITH THE BS. 88cc kits

step up to what? the kid asked for opinions. he got them. no need to start a war over dumb ****. i gave my "technical" advice, where all you could offer him is telling him that a kit that cost more is better. thats great. im done arguing with you. you have no technical proof of anything being better or worse than the other. the only thing you have to back up your claims is the price and the fact that pro racers use the stuff. thats great. wheres the info??? why is it better??? i think the only person that needs to step up here is you. or you can always post again and keep digging yourself a deeper hole. you're the one that looks like an ***. nobody else.

Re: WHATS WITH THE BS. 88cc kits

Ok i'll chime in again with .

a kitaco 88 bore kit = http://www.mxbike.com/catalog/Kitaco...da7f6c3a9063ad
430 dollars!??!?!!?!?? WTF No race head, just a basic kit.

Same exact stuff for 150 dollars cheaper.
http://www.hondatrailbikes.com/catal...roducts_id=171
OR
http://www.hondatrailbikes.com/catal...roducts_id=174
88cc kit, with a race head for less then the price of a basic 88cc kitaco with no head.
please tell me why not to go with TB in this situation.

Re: WHATS WITH THE BS. 88cc kits

oops forgive me for the stupidity, i almost forgot to add how much kitaco will bend you over for there race head 88cc kit
http://www.kingracingusa.com/kr_reta...products_id=61
850 dollars~!i!i! OH WAIT almost forgot also that you have to add 150 dollars for a 20mm carb which brings it to a whopping 1000 dollar 88cc race head kit, vs a 400 dollar kit. Now please o please i beg you what makes the 600 dollar difference between the 2 kits? Thanks.

Re: WHATS WITH THE BS. 88cc kits

Well heres another I have a tak S-stage and I love it the thing makes way more power then Ill ever need to stunt a fiddy. the kit went together well and I had not one question or concern about it as I built it and after it was done. My brother bought a the TB race head kit and and spent two weeks asking me question about it before he put it in his bike. "why do the rocker arms have so much play side to side?" and what is this stupid plastic spacer for, it just makes the carb hit the tank." to which I replied "I have no idea, maybe thats why it was only $400". We are not ignorant bastards we have spent our lifetimes fixing old cars and motorcycles. These questions came from a guy that is mechanically inclined and was confused by the strange quality he saw in the tb kits.

Take that for what its worth to you.

You must have the red powerbands in yours because the guy i raced with the same kit in it as yours ( which fab replaced with a TB 88 2 weeks ago ) i smoked him in a side by side race down the street. Maybe i got them dual powerbands in mine what do you guys think.

The stupid plastic spacer?, which is the same thing laying in the picture in the link above that comes with every 88 kit so the carb clears the cylinder and the fin on it is a heat shield? Maybe they did include the plastic spacers to drop the prices to only 400 dollars?

Maybe they should make the manifold better so they dont have to throw in some cheap plastic spacer so the knock off carb clears the fins on the head. Oh and my Tak kit didnt come with a spacer the manifold holds the carb in just the right spot without one.

as far as the rocker arms go... never seen that one before. you sure he owns a feeler gauge and knows how to use it?

and that plastic thing... its called a heat shield. it prevents engine heat from warming up the intake and carb which can cause vapor lock. but since you're not an "ignorant bastard" im sure you already knew that.

Re: WHATS WITH THE BS. 88cc kits

The carb sits in open air the is no need for a heat sheild. cold air on the outside and cold air going in. Heat shield = useless

actually i have the well tuned matched intake to exhaust not oversized cam and 4inch cooling fins powerband. gearing is all i have to say to that question.

Re: WHATS WITH THE BS. 88cc kits

Well yes because you paid 460 dollars for a 88 kit that only came with a 18mm carb which means theres more then enough room for a small carb. Put a 20mm on it and you have to put a spacer in it, so even worse you paid more then the kitaco which is 430 and it comes with a 20mm carb. Someone close this thread, its useless also. End it with
88cc kitaco 20mm carb = 430
88cc kitaco 20mm carb race head = 1000
88cc takegawa hyper s stage 18mm carb = 460
88cc Honda trail bikes 20mm carb = 275
88cc honda trail bikes 20mm carb and race head = 400

Choose to your likings and your wallets.

This thread is useless.

Re: WHATS WITH THE BS. 88cc kits

go for the 400 kit because it is a toy to ride when you are not riding your real bike

plus if it did *** up you can buy another one and still be 200 ahead

You told us that your *** Dyno said the takagawa kits are better. The bikes I have rode with TB and takagawa my *** dyno tells me along with my eyes that the TB kits are quicker and better value for the $.
Feel free to spend more money that you should.
