Hey. I spun a rod bearing in my '98 SRAD, i was going to build the motor, but decided just to swap in a new one. My question is, what (if any) other motors would fit in my bike? The year of size doesn't really matter to me, i would just like to know what my options are. If anyone could help me out i'd appreciate it. Thanks.

 

96-99 gixx 750 and 97-00 gixx 600... not too long ago there was someone on here or on gixxer.com who did a gixx 1000 motor in a srad frame, i know he had to do some cutting, welding and fabrication of brackets but it looked like it came out pretty good.... if you do a search you can prolly' find it.... oh and the honda xr50 motor will fit, but you won't be happy with the performance of it....

 

96-99 gixx 750 and 97-00 gixx 600 will bolt right in.
