On Monday I went to a buddy's house as a few guys were gonna get together. They were gonna ride and I was too but missed that last time cause my fork seals were blown to the point where there was no more oil left and all of it was on the rotors and on the rest of the bike. Now my tire is bald and the wires showing so I passed up this ride as well. Well as they were leaving I was second in line as I am heading back to my house and they are heading somewhere in the same direction...... Well the guy in front of me has an R6 and he starts hauling ***. So I'm like *** it. I pull it up and doing a wheelie down the side street. As I am still up in the air a cop passes me of the left and we hooked eye to eye. You see I wasn't wearing a helmet as in this state they don't care. I drop it like oh ****..... I take the *** off and the rest of the riders kept going. I hit a **** load of back street thinking he may come and get me. He never did.

You see today I was supposed to go to court for doing wheelies past the buildings on campus. I overslept. I got there 30 minutes after it started. But in this little country town they were done with everybody by that time. I rush into the clerks office and she was like " Oh well, you missed it and you can either pay now or I can put you on a deferment for 3 months, I have to pay $177, and have to do 10 hrs community service..... If I complete it I get no ticket on my record and no points to the insurance....

So I think I can do it. I got lucky b/c yesterday if I would have gotten it then I would have no choice but to pay both tickets and gets doubl;e wheelie points. But here is the weirtd thing. I was going to fight it and she said if I fight it and lose then I have to pay the oficers salary for showing up and have to pay the court costs and pay for the ticket w/in 30 days. This way I get 3 months to pay the $177......

You think this is cool? Don't fight it and just get on with what I agreed to. The 177, the community service, and no tickets for 3 months? Then I am free of charges......Cause I can still go and have it changed to fight it. The wheelie that they had me doing on the campus was no higher than 7-8 in so nothing big...

So what do you think...It would have no lawyers, just me the judge, the cop, and anyone else in line to plead their case...

 

Thats unconstitutional. Sounds like a scare tactic.

 

Dude, it's only $177, pay the man! They are handing you a gift my friend. If you take it to court you will not win, of course, then instead of handing you a gift they will be handing you your ***.

I wouldn't even have to think twice about that one.

 

i take all my tickets as far as the courts will let me. i would fight it just because ive beaten alot of tickets. arent you in san diego? the courts down there do suk though so i think you should probly just do what you did.
