I got a operation of motercycle on one weel ticket a couple of weeks ago. The cop wrote it up as (reckless driving),and a ticket for ilegel display of registration (plate bent upward).Who has had a reckless and went to court with a lawyer? What was the outcome?what did your lawyer do for you.Is it possible to get the ticket reduced to a operation on one weel from a reckless?

Also the cop claimed to get it all on tape. Can my lawyer get a copy of it? Let me know what you think, I want to have a idea of what to expect, my lawyer hasnt really told me **** yet. I live in the chicago area so if anyone has any lawyer recomendations it would be well appreciaded.

In jersey I got a reckless, speeding(114mph in 65), and unsafe lane changes. Jersy cops are all paid a*sholes and they give out reckless citations for anyone they pull over on a bike. I got a lawyer ($500). I did ok in court cause I was in the military at the time, and it was around 9/11, so everyone was patriotic to the military. They dropped the reckless and unsafe lane changes and convicted me of speeding. If I wasn't in the Marines they would have thrown the book at me though. Getting a lawyer is a gamble. You could spend the 500 and lose or you could win. Either way fight that ****. good luck bro. FTP

Mightlywhitie - Yes it is possible to get a copy of the ticket. Your lawyer should already be getting it. It will show up in the Discovery packet for trial.

Basically, what your lawyer is going to do is strike a deal. Thats how it usually adds up. They pretty much never go to trial unless they KNOW you can get out of it. I am not really familiar with the laws there but if he has it on video, take a plea offer and call it a day. You REALLY dont want a jury watching that cause then they will rmember getting past by one and how much they hated it.

I got a reckless driving ticket, I went to the solicitor before my court date, she told me to take a defensive driving class & they'd reduce my fine, well I went to court & told the judge I only had $200 & that I just wanted to pay it & get it over with he said, $100 cash today, have a good day, I had no attorney

 

i wont pull over they cant possible catch me unless they have a camaro .
