WHich Bike to Get

Alright, I need some help here. I've got an 00 R6 and my second gear is blown to ****. It will cost about $1300 to fix it, so I'd rather just sell it and get something else. I'm lookin at a 98/99 Kawi-ZX-7R, 99/0-R1, or a 99/00 Gsxr 750. I haven't rode any of these yet, and although i plan to, I'm curious to see what you guys have to say about these. I'm looking for a well balanced, stabe bike, that comes up smoothly. If there is anything else, that the the manufactured screwed up on, such as Yamahas second gear in the R6, with any of these bike, that info would be well appreciated.

Well if you're paying $1200, you're getting stroked. But get a 750 anyways.

my first pick would be a honda, but if you cant get a honda, I'd go with the gixxer 750.

As far as workin on the Gsxr, is it pretty easy? I've taken my R6 apart and its simple compared to my brothers 00 F4. Taking off the subframe on that is a total bitch. He's gettin the bike chromed, it should look sik, but its pain in the ***. so why the Gsxr 750 over the R1?

David P.O.B- what kind of honda are you suggesting?

problem with the r1 is the frame is one solid piece. no seperate subframe. so if you crash hard, or bend the subframe too bad, you have to buy a completely new frame to make it completely perfectly again versus just buying the subframe as it is on the gsxr or honda.

i would suggest a 929 or a 900 RR. I have founf that you can beat the absolute crap out of a honda and it just keeps running. my first bike was a gsxr and i had way more problems out of it than i have out of my honda. just my opinion.

Kelly, what do you like about the 93/94 900rr. Does that bike have problems given that its 9 years old? Bikes are becomeing lighter and more powerful the newer they get, from my understanding.

SWURVE, HEY MAN ,A lot of people till me the same thing,I say I've always liked my bike to be almost to big and heavy for me. I had a 91 gsxr 750 big and fast, they're not making them that way now. I have a 93 900rr now, I like the wheelbase for stunts, and it keeps up with the new ones. I'm building that motor up. Its got the 99 919 motor in it, it's faster than before and I'm still able to stunt it.
