98 gsxr600 shuting off after endo's

As i have gotten endo's higher and longer, my 98 gsxr600
has began to run progressively worse eagh time out.
After a few endo's it will shut off like it ran out of gas.
The only way to restart it is to hold it wide open, that tells
me it is flooded. last week i cleaned the carbs and set the
floats, there was a lot of dirt and the floats were off. I thought
the problem was fixed. I rode this past sunday after the rain
out at x-fest. The same problem came back. If anyone has any
ideas, please HELP ME!

same problem

I had the same problem with my 98 Fixxer... After a few endos it would start to run really rough, the only conclusion I could come up with was that the fuel line is doing a gravity feed directly into the carbs while doing a endo... I pulled my plugs and they were fine. Are you doing it with low fuel or a Full tank?

It does it at low fuel level or full tank.
I amgoing to try to lean out the mixture screw
to see if that helps. Thanks for the response.

No offense, but that's why I don't ride carburated bikes anymore. They always have problems if you keep them long enough. Ride fuel injected, other than that I don't know what to tell ya. A buddy of mine's bike did the same thing, it's really frustrating.

Thanks for the help guys.
I am going to lay this bike to rest and get a fuel injected
bike soon.
