stunting a 250r?

i was looking to begin stunting on my 05 crf250r / 02 450r and was wondering if anyone makes stunt parts for them like cages, 12 bars, round bars, etc..or if i have to custom everything.
thanks

Re: stunting a 250r?

the 450 is gonna be a much better choice because of smoother power delivery especially at low rpm. Not that you can't stunt a 2 stroke but they foul plugs really quick if you idle a lot, and the power band is in a much narrower rev range. definitely talk to that moorport guy he has a sick 450r and i'm sure he can make you a subframe with passenger pegs and 12 bar and the whole 9.

He's talking about his thumper 250.

Yeah, talk to Ryan, I'm sure he'll help you out. I'm not sure stunting a 450 is better than a 250 though...

I'm going for a 250 as well.

Re: stunting a 250r?

your right I missed the f, I was thinking cr250r. hmm 250 or 450 fourstroke I dunno that's a tough call. I would still probably go with the 450 though.

I second this.
You dont need a 12 bar unless you need to put your feet in it.

Re: stunting a 250r?

You can also stunt a 2 stroke...just stay away from the power ban while doing slow stuff. I can slow wheelie my 125 slower than my motard geared down. The 125 has no torque so it is very managable to ride slow wheelies, but you have to keep it at 12....if your front end falls you dont have much power to bring it back, and the power ban is so sparadic and unpredictable its hard to do much with. Its cool to see a 2 stroke being stunted but Im all for 4 strokes all the way. Yeah you can also foul plugs easily....

Re: stunting a 250r?

yeah i have tried to stunt a 250 2 smoker and it's so much harder because it's so touchy. i'm a noob so i would rather just get down the basics and easy stuff on a smoother 4 stroke than make it harder to start.

Re: stunting a 250r?

4 strokes are the deal...but I like going to a local MX track and pull off some super slow wheelies on the 125. Its all in fun. Doesnt matter what your on while riding 12 o'clocks its fun either way.
