my idle adjuster cable broke off last night at the lot and im wondering if there is a different one i can put on there that is not so cheaply made. is there anyway i can udjust it with out the cable? i tried to turn the rod that the cable went into with some needle nose and it did not seem to change. thanks in advance.

did you do the idle adjust mod or were you twisting the stock one???

its a separate adjust screw that goes into where the stock idle screw goes on the front of the throttle bodies





if you do this get an f3 idle screw....i guess they are the longest so you have more options on where to run it so it is easier for you

Did u turn the idle cable in too far? If u do it will not idle no matter how much u turn the cable. If the cable gets stuck u have to take off the tank and air box then locate the rod on the end of the idle cable (on the guys link above its circled in red). Clamp some needle nose vise grips on the rod then turn it (COUNTERCLOCKWISE) and break it loose. Then find the lever that it pushes and push it back down with your finger. Sorry i dont have any pics. Maybe some of the other guys can post some.
