From looking at pics on the net, what I can see is (obviously) paint/bodywork, forks & front discs(maybe my imagination), passenger peg/bracket things(on some?), gauges, and maybe the seat(?). Thats about all I can tell. What else is there? Was there changes motor wise?

The reason I was askin is I wanted to get another F3 for a beater/sunter, but I've seen some F2's for CHEAP! So I was thinkin, throw some aftermarket (F3) skins on it, and I'm set What do yall think?

 

as far as i remember the f3's were just slightly modded f2's. like you said. im pretty damn sure that the major parts (motor, frame, gearbox & swingarm) are the same. check out http://www.cbrworld.net they might have some info for ya.

I got an 87 hurricane and an 89 cbr f1 they all have the ame parts just paint and a side stand light for me. they slowly inproved them you can put a wicked set of meats on an f3 plus they will soon be bountyful for parts.

 

i had a 94 f2, most of the parts are the same for an f3. i put a 97 f3 complete body on my 94, it fit with only trimming the side inspection covers to clear the radiator. now, early f2's are diff. from late f2's. my buddy had a 91 and his pegs were diff., front and rear. the tanks were different, the tops look the same but my 94 had an extra vaccum line beside the overflow tude, his didnt.
Also, the front rims and brakes are different. The rotors are different as far as the bolt pattern to the rim. The F3 has a little more funny electronics but as far as i know the frame, swing arm and clip-ons are the exact same.
