sprockets

whats a good "brand name" sprocket to buy? I was taking my bike apart today and when i got to the sub frame and started unbolting it, I noticed my sprocket looked funny and when i took the chain off i saw that it is missing about 15 teeth all the way around. I just bought it about 2 months ago (brand new) it was a VORTEX 46 tooth now it's a fu(kin 31 tooth
any suggestions on what kind to buy?

Re: sprockets

more importantly make sure you leave about 1 inch of play in your chain ... don't over tighten it or you will dramaticly increase wear on your sprockets and chain... i found out the same way you did ... my 43 tooth became a 12 tooth .... i could still wheelie on it tho...
