Question preffered brake pads

i'm using ebc pads... like the way they stop ,but wear out so fast and the always present brake dust coating on my rims is annoying.. What's your choice for best performing pad for the money?

Maybe Braking. I think they might be the same as EBC but not sure. I have them on my quad and seem to work well. Haven't had them on their that long to notice brake dust though.

It really depends on how you ride. If you just ride for fun (freeway, city riding, etc.) anything works pretty well. I put EBC organic pads on alot of customer bikes. If you stunt, I always run stock fornts and SBS rears. SBS pads seem to hold up well for me, and the feel is comparable to stock pads.

Re: preffered brake pads

i'm using ebc kevlar.. they stop better than my stock, but wear out about 3,500 miles as opposed to 10 or 12,000 with the stock ,,, i guess i'm looking for a middle ground. i ride pretty agrresive... -2ft,+-0rear, love the interstate for 3rd gear stand-ups ... love the lots for 1st and 2nd practice, but my safest lot( as far as getting arrested or f-ed with) reqiures heavy braking if you stretch the wheelie out

I'd stick with the SBS or stock pads in that case. They're both made of sintered metal material, so they last long and perform really well in all conditions.

EBC Double H pads stop unreal. I just put some on my Hayabusa and they work well. We'll have to see about life span.

Don’t expect too much life out of them, on a Busa, especially if you ride hard. It’s a lot of bike to bring to a stop. I have went threw the stock pads, 3 sets of EBC HH and am about half way through a set of EBC HH race kit pads, and only have 11,500 miles on the bike. But I would not trade the feel of the EBC, either the HH for street or the Race Kit for the track, for the longer life pads.

Re: preffered brake pads

thanks for the info... btw, i saw advanced wheelies... the 2nd installment of kyle woods and matt gorka's how to guide... they talk about pads and high boiling temp brake fluid.. super dot 4 or something, supposed to boil at 500 degrees.
