Na Man I think you got it!!!

Yes to you needing to be on the brakes (even if only a small amount you will be on the brakes) to maintain a stoppie however because your going down a hill which has more gravitational force than pressure required on the brakes to maintain the stoppie. should = an endless stoppie (well till you run outa hill)

When I go out next I'm gettin it on camera gotta have a go at this....

I agree that you can do an endless stoppie down a endless grade.

It's still stunt life... you know the site for people who love to stunt their bikes - but it seems... you don't have a bike, so maybe I'm wrong... Maybe it IS geeklife

O.K. my I know I'm a bit late on this one but...
Balance point is balance point, see how Darius and others can balance the bike at a standstill, jump on an wheelie away? balance point is when the centre of mass (bike and rider) is directly over the contact patch, and forward momentum equals wind resistance. So whether you are doing an endo or wheelie, when you have true BP, the only thing slowing you down is frictional losses, so if you're rolling down a hill with an angle such that the vectored gravitational force is equal to the friction (including wind resistance), you will maintain velocity untill you realise what you're doing, **** yourself, and fall off.
now if only I could get it past 10o'clock....

exactly, so anyone doubting this can be done, first learn to ride a stoppie for 200 feet at least and then go try it on a steep hill and see what happens. it's totally possible. you may not be hauling *** down the hill but you will still maintain forward motion as long as you keep it tall enough so that you don't have to use much brake pressure, presto chango now who wants to see me pull a rabbit out of my hat?:YEAH
