Stunters wanted for exhibition in Tassie

It has been arranged that a racing event (car) be held on the 8th and 9th of April and the track manager wants to have a drifting and stunt demonstration during these 2 days. This is a HUGE opportunity to promote stunting here in Tassie, and as well, Australia wide. What I want tho is volunteers to attend and stunt it up with me if possible. I really dont want to be the ONLY rider there, so if 3 or 4 (or more :D) of you peeps can make it down here that would be sweet.

Unfortunately tho, theres no money in it, and travel expenses will have to come out of your own pockets. Seeing as theres been talk of a Tassie trip, this would be the opportunity to do it. Give me a ring or PM if you are interested as I like to start organising this ASAP.

A big thanks to GMB for also promoting stunting as this has surely helped me with my talks with the track manager last year.

So c'mon guys, lets farkin STUNT and show them how its done

Sounds great dude. Might be worth talking to some local companies too to see if they're keen to chip in for some mainland stunters to come down. Even if it's only a grand, it's better than nothing.

Mate, I am interested!!!

However I will need to look at transport costs, Can you find out how much it will cost me for a return trip on the spirit of Tassie from Sydney to Tassie and back?

Good call boxer, maybe you could see if we can get part of the transport costs covered by your local bike shop or some other local businesses, I will run some stickers on my bike for the event...

So if the cost isn't huge you can put me down.

Just a thought too. I know the direct ferry from Sydney to Hobart is almost the same cost as flying and you can also take a car. ie: a car being a van with bikes in the back

Sounds like a good opportunity to take the bang bus to the southern end of Australia eh Mike Rock. Then you'll just have to drive it to Perth and you'll have gotten your $20 worth out of it

Great ideas guys. I will follow up on the sposorship idea, any $$ helps thats for sure. Bender is looking at the fares, and ill check for accommodation.

As for the days, im thinking if you guys can come say Friday morning, we can stunt it up Friday as practice and have Sat and Sun do our bit, leaving Monday or Tuesday, or when ever you like.

Dont expect HUGE crowds like you guys get over there, especially Sydney, but heck, im in it to have fun and the spectators can come second hehe

Re: Stunters wanted for exhibition in Tassie

K will chase up this week re sponsorship. Also, as far as I know, there may be a requirement for leather jacket. I havent stunted without, so there was no question to ask them. I will find out for you JB "Terminator" Stunts.

Actually, seeing as you mostly end up terminating your bike, its prolly not a bad nick lol

Ok guys

i know this is late notice and partley my fault as i have only just secured the track and sorted out PL and insurance to do the drift/stunt demos.

Its going to be a BLOODY HUGE weekend as there are over 40 AUSSIE LEGENDS on there way down for this alone let alone all the other support fields.

I will be organising the drift and stunt demo's for this weekend but will leave most of the stunt organising to stooge .

Like stooge has said i wont be able to pay you at all but more than happy to try and help out by easing some travel expenses/accomodation if i can.

I have some sponsorship backing for the Drift guys so if there is anything left over then im more than willing to throw it your way

If you guys were to come over and spend a few days down south riding with stooge before heading north for the show then i can help out there as well!!!

This is a HUGE CHANCE for stooge and stunting in Tasmania and i can't wait for it to go ahead, even better if some of you guys can make it to help show that stooge is the future.

Glad i could help out with the free practice spot stooge and i'll let you know more details once there all sorted.

PS: Leather jacket and pants, gloves and boots would be required fellas to run on the track.

Cheers GMB

Re: Stunters wanted for exhibition in Tassie

are leather pants a must???? i dont have any and i'm sure the peeps that end up doin this prolly wouldnt either. if need be i can get myself some draggins and i always were knee/shin gaurds anyway. i dont think i could ride with leather pants. i can only imagine how hard a spreader would be with them on. as far as leather jacket, if they wont let us wear body armour then thats cool i'll wear my jacket. but if you could find out bout the pants would be good

Re: Stunters wanted for exhibition in Tassie

Your safe with a leather jacket, dragon jeans with the rest of the gear. Thats what I wear and never had any probs getting on the track. So, unlike Unc whimping out :P, get you a$$ down here.

Re: Stunters wanted for exhibition in Tassie

Stooge / GMB, I am down with that... if any of you Sydney folk want to put your bike in the van, it could probably squeeze in two.... REALLLY squeeze!!

Bender, I will give you a call regarding the transportation. Stooge, could we camp it at the track? or would we need to hit up some local motel?
