Great work Bender. I just been to Motorworks, and spoke to the owner. I gave him my copy of the DVD to watch, and told him to order them from Black Market Films (Daniel).
I explained the event, told him you 3 and Dan will be coming down and that im looking for some sponsorship to assist you guys in your travelling expenses.
Ill keep you posted
PS: Will be going to the FREE track on the weekend to stunt... :YEAH

Heya alex,
There shouldnt be a prob from my perspective if ya wanted to come down. But before you do, im just checking on IF this whole thing is going to go ahead because of the new MA rules regarding a rider being endorsed (and therefore have MA public liability insurance). The guys are coming down regardless of weather the show goes ahead or not, but you may only want to come down ONLY if its a go ahead. I will post up news as soon as the guy from MA returns my calls.

Not sure I don't see any reason why he couldn't,
Tell him to call Spirit of tassie and quote our booking number see if he can get in on that, otherwise I think he should be able to just book and pay for one???
How is he getting his bike around? on a car or riding?

Alex, I am in the process of talking with MA about it. In fact, I spoke to them today and told them my concerns (as Matt's thread explains) and he was a little 'shocked' to hear how restrictive it is. One good thing about this guy I spoke to is that hes pro-stunting and wants the sport to go ahead in Tassie. The 3 concerns I outlined to him were:
1) How do we get endorsed if Matt Mingay has to be present at the location?
2) The test is very hard, how will newcomers or amateurs like us progress into the sport
3) Addressing above, we need to devide the sport into categories (A,B,C and D Grade?) so that when an event is help, both the A graders and D graders can perform
So he will get back to me sometime next week. I will endeavour to proceed with this as I think the current way of MA looks at the sport with its TIGHT regulations it is going to kill it anyways.

good work stooge. just as long as everything is handled correctly and no one gets MA off side, i think the more ppl who expresss there concerns with them the more seriously they will take stunters and stuntriding!
Cheers stooge for the info!

sounds like you can get it all sorted?
i think i may step down!
too many cooks spoil the broth!
i worked with MA on this for the last 18 months, and did a hell of alot of work/phonecalls/flights to Melb and paper work.
it is all going pear shaped and my work is being thrown back in my face, so i think ill just leave it to everybody else and continue doing my own ****!
the insurance was asked to be used for events like stunt comps and practise sessions, now MA is getting hounded to support and insure local stunt guys to perform for the first time at events, some who are a known risk or dont have any skills at all!!!!!!
Talk about takin the ****!!!!!
im outa here.....good luck!!
