Re: 2 or 4 sroke

Definitely 4 stroke. 2 strokes are annoying highpitched and sound like they're straining all the time, 4 strokes sound deep and powerful.

2 strokes...4 stroke motocross bikes cost too much and plus you have to rebuild the whole engine alot, you have to adjust the valves all the time...you have to lissen to the shitty sound of them,...

Re: 2 or 4 sroke

****, finnally you guys are catching on. 4 strokes are more maintinance than a 2 stroke. If you dont adjust your valves you got over a 1000$ bill comming your way, thats if you do all work yourself. With the introduction of 4 strokes many tracks have been shut down from noise polution now. I love the way a 2 stroke sounds. They never sound like they are straning if the person can ride it right.

Re: 2 or 4 sroke

hell ya 2 stroke all the way you have to be a complete water head to like 4 strokes. sure 4 strokes may have a lil bit more power wich i hate admitting but two strokes have such better response plus a 4 stroke weighs what a good 50-75 lbs more than a two stroke 4 strokes of heavy pieces os garbage metal plus only ageing liberal hippy duesch bags rides 4 strokes because they want to save the enviroment --tear lol
4 strokes do have there place ie supermoto and getting groceries but they will never be as light or as fast as a 2 stroke

2 strokes on the track/dirt, 4 strokes on the street. Thats the way it should be.

Same thing with MX 4 strokes. Except you have to do it more often, take the motor apart to adjust and change valves. Then when you replace piston you should cut valve seats so the sit better and get a better seal, and since that can only be done once every other piston (usually last 2 times as long as a 2 strokes) you need a new head. And about only water heads liking 4 storkes, you are a idiot. The MX bike 2 stroke and 4 strokes are about the same weight (5 lbs differance). And because a 4 stroke mx bike can be twice the displacement (or close to it) they are faster. One downfall is that they are a little harder to turn becuase they is rotating mass up higher.

i would have to agree with you on most of this post. I believe the argument on 4 or 2 stroke is about as futile as the one about Ford or Chevy, when it comes down to it its personal prefrence. I know guys who LOVE 4 strokers and as many that HATE them! Its all the same man when it comes down to it as long as you are doing the roosting then you are up front.
. Also Xidium you have the EXACT same bike i learned to ride on.....but mine was a 1975 XR75 you got pix? and hows it run? I havent seen mine in 18 years.
