if your going to go for the offroad look.. 18's and 33's....16's just arent a big enough wheel..especially for the opening on the Avy's...also look into a body lift if your going to run 33's...we put one on an Avy about 3 weeks ago and it looks sick!...kind of a pain in the *** to do though, its easier to do on a pickup.

Body lifts are a no-no in Maine if you have ABS. Those are 33's on there right now, well 285/75-16's. I'm going to raise the torsion bars a hair to level it out. I'm not sure I could fit 33x12.5's without some sort of lift though.

why would they be a No-no?

you can run different torsion bar keys and get about 3" of lift out of the front along with blocks in the rear...thats what a lot of guys are doing. Its pretty cheap too..its just a pain to get the torsion keys out. You'll have to get the truck aligned after too.

The body lifts are against the law if you have ABS. They won't inspect it.

It has coil springs in the rear. How do you lift that, coil spacers?

Sick truck! I love the new Avalanches. I don't care for the old "fisher price" looking ones with the lower plastic panels. I'm glad to see you went with a nice cleaner package on yours!

i forgot about the coil springs on those....they must make a lifted spring for them....or maybe a spacer...i'd have to look into it

Body lifts are ghey. So are 16" wheels IMO.

Suspension is where it's at.

I also detest body lifts and I'm really not a fan of over 17" wheels for offroad tires until you get over 35". It's not worth buying new wheels to go up one inch. I also wouldn't go over 18" wheels with an offroad tire ever. I think 20-24" rims look stupid with aggressive tires.

Yeah, talked to Jordan last night. Said he wanted to get new a-arms. He'll still probably finish before you.
