Do not forget to vote for Bush in a few weeks

This is for Teach on Stem Cell Research
put this scenario in your head, 5 years from now, lets say you and your loved one has a baby, but there are complications from the birth and your son or daughter is born with a life threating disease, and wont make it to the age of 2, your tellin me in your heart you will be at ease knowing "Nature is taking its Course" when you know damn well the possibilties of science and medicine could have a cure for this "such" disease from stem cell research?
And with Abortion, Science has yet to determine wether what stage of a fetus is considered a human being, so the battle of Abortion is a dead argument, There is NO right or wrong answer.

i'm not saying anyone's religion is better, i'm just saying bush is a man with moral fiber, so he has my vote.
if the above scenario did happen, it would suck and would be very difficult, but i believe everything happens for a reason and if it is not meant to be, then it is not meant to be.
and the aboriton thing: science is great, but we are going to out do ourselves one day and cross the line. fetus/human being...??? doesnt matter, you are destroying what WOULD HAVE turned into a human life....we already have our choice for the most part (minus the obvious rapes, etc), and that choice is whether to A. abstain from sex, or B. if you have sex, practice safe sex....so there is no need to kill what is inside the mother.
i have a good book for you that you should read, basically about creation vs evolution and how many top evolutionists don't really believe in and can't really support there own theories....a can of worms for the internet.

I think that Stem cell crap has more Moral and ethical dilemmas than "do you want to save your son/daughter.?" Is that really what's important right now? Honestly. Give up security in our homeland. Our drive to fight terrorism. Just to raise taxes to fund "research" and have more abortion? This is why I believe people who vote for Kerry are selfish. Anyone who knows what capitalism is and believes in it would never vote for someone like Kerry

And even AFTER i graudate school, does that guarantee a job for me. NO, i got friends i with Masters Degrees SELLING books for 6.00Dollars/Hr living back at home with their parents cause they cant find a job. Speaking of JOBS, yeah i dont have one of those either, i am one of THOUSANDS of people in the Metro Detroit area who were laid of DUE TO LACK OF WORK, I agree we should protect our land and country, but we need to start fixing the problems HERE and focusing on whats going on in OUR country, instead of trying to fix whats going on in OTHER countries.

Re: Do not forget to vote for Bush in a few weeks
If I can create man through stem cell research can I be equal to your god? Is your god threatened by this and therefore wants Bush in office? Or is this just a science that proves your religious history in the creation of earth and life wrong, and well, you just can't be wrong. Just like Bush. He can't fix his mistakes because that would mean he was wrong and made mistakes. Instead dig deeper holes so that people will respect him more and maintain the impression that he is perfect and lives a flawless life.

Other than the fact too, that I went out to the corner store today to get a drink.
Nothing too fancy. I grabbed a 20 oz. bottle of soda (Diet Dr. Pepper) and brought it up to the clerk.
$1.49 that bitch charged me!!! Stop the madness!!!!!

Here is some not partisan pros and cons of Stem Cell Research. All I said was it's more complicated than Saving lives and not saving lives.

This debate is one of the most profound ethical issues of all times. It has moral, religious, legal, and ethical overtones.

Re: Do not forget to vote for Bush in a few weeks
Can we talk about this stem cell research debate for a second.
1. Bush was the first president to sign into law for this to be allowed. What the uproar is about is how far do we carry this research. He stoped it at my second point.
2. What Bush did not allow was the fertization of a egg and sperm and to allow researches to kill this living person for stem cell research.
The second point should be the topic but you have been lead to believe that bush is not for any stem cell research when in fact he was the first president to allow part of it. He just does not think it is right to
make a baby using a egg and sperm and then kill it for reasearch.
THAT IS THE REAL DEBATEl
Do any of you support making a baby by using a sperm and egg and then killing it for research? If so do you think abortion is a form of birth control?

Re: Do not forget to vote for Bush in a few weeks
If you have read this far now lets talk about your 2 year old kid who is going to die next year. So you and your wife take her egg and take your sperm and create a new baby. Now you are going to kill this new baby to save your other son. So instead of you losing a son to natural causes you are going to murder your new baby to save your older son.
Re: Do not forget to vote for Bush in a few weeks
So now since Bush said you can not do that, which I agree is a major setback to stem cell research because you can not create babies at will, you are saying Bush is acting like god.
I would think the people supporting this type of stem cell reasearch are acting like god by killing a perfect child to save another.

Re: Do not forget to vote for Bush in a few weeks
Come on, who wants to debate this cloning issue with me and how Bush is doing the world such injustice by not letting us clone kids and kill them for research.
Re: Do not forget to vote for Bush in a few weeks
who gives a flyin **** about abortion and stem cell research with everything else that is going on.....or religion for that matter
Like it or not this election will be won on National Security....that is the most important issue in this country...all of the polls confirm this..and it is not even close...
For Bush to win he has to get teh country to beleive the war in Iraq is part of the war on terror...and it is working
For Kerry to win he has to convince the country the war in Iraq is not part of the war on terror..it is a disctration from it... While he is desprately trying to do this..it is not working out so well..
And now it make no **** of difference who is right or who is wrong...what the facts are and what the spin is.....
Kerry has peaked...in the eyes of the country he swept the debates....and even that did not get him a big jump in the polls..
With all the **** going wrong Kerry should be ahead by atleast 10% across teh boards...any decent democrat would be..and he not...why...I let you guys figure it out..
Bush is bad...Kerry is much MUCH worse...

I don't think a sperm & egg (or fetus) can be considered human life yet. (IMO) It's not "alive" yet and the developing process isn't complete. It can not live on it's own and I don't think anything can be considered "living" until it can survive soley on it's own.
It's almost like saying it's raining out when there is no water falling from the sky but the clouds are dark. Or it's like saying a coke can is a car b/c after recycling it may be used as part of a door.
I'm all for technology growth / evolution..... and from what I understand, you can't just make an egg & sperm soley for stem cell research. It has to be from an aborted or "failed" fetus. I think I remember hearing something about a clause like that.

...
CNN's HOWARD KURTZ: "It is a tight race. Do you believe that most reporters want John Kerry to win?"
NEWSWEEK'S EVAN THOMAS: "Yeah, absolutely."
KURTZ: "Do you think they're deliberately tilting their coverage to help John Kerry and John Edwards?"
THOMAS: "Not really."
KURTZ:"Subconsciously tilting their coverage?"
THOMAS:"Maybe."
KURTZ:"Maybe."
THOMAS:"Maybe."
KURTZ:"Including at Newsweek?"
THOMAS:"Yeah."
KURTZ:"You've said on the program 'Inside Washington' that because of the portrayal of Kerry and Edwards as young and optimistic, that's worth maybe 15 points. That would suggest."
THOMAS:"Stupid thing to say. It was completely wrong. I do think that the mainstream press, I'm not talking about the blogs and Rush and all that, but the mainstream press favors Kerry. I don't thin k it's worth 15 points. That was just a stupid thing to say."
KURTZ:"Is it worth five?"
THOMAS:"Maybe, maybe."
(CNN's Reliable Sources, October 17, 2004)
According to one of the most established members of the "mainstream media," the fact that "most reporters want John Kerry to win" could be worth 5 to 15 percentage points- or 5 to 20 million votes- on Election Day.
Much of the Kerry campaign's political calculation relies on the media reporting as fact baseless charges of voter intimidation, "privatizing social security" and "reinstating the draft," blaming President Bush for the flu vaccine shortage when Kerry opposed liability reform for vaccine manufacturers, and the demonstrably false charge that the President has banned stem cell research.

How about a new born that is not really alive since the baby still depends on the mother to feed it and without her or another human this baby would die.
In other words, you don't need a brain to have a living organism.
