Anyone Else Feel this Way.....

Is it me or does it seem like all of our freedom is being taken from us lately?

All of the things that make this country great are being taken away. The whole idea of "Living Free" is starting to become more & more limited everyday. I mean seriously think about it. I read the paper every day and I read about this law being made, that law being established, etc. Do you know that within a year it will be illegal to smoke in public? I don't smoke (and I despise smokers) but who the hell are these political jokers think they are??.... They say it's hazardous to you health??.... Are you shitting me??... How about you follow a bus on the highway or look at these factory buildings blowing **** into the air..... or anything..... There is much worse out there and we are exposed to them daily. I just don't think anyone has the right to tell me "Do Not Smoke" if I want to. How about seat belts??.... *** OFF with the seat belt law!!! if I choose not to wear it, then I won't. Also, do you know I can't even ride a dirtbike in my own town and if I get caught, I lose my license? Are you serious? Yup, unregistered motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle, towed, impounded, etc. ALL BULLSHIT!! Why take these things away? Does it really make for a safer, higher quality of life? Give me a break.

It just seems like everyday we loose more privileges. These little things make this country great.... and make life more exciting. Maybe it's just Massachusetts and it's bullshit government but I'm seriously thinking about moving out of here. The only problem is, I'm sure the rest will follow suit eventually. I'm just getting tired of hearing about some **** I can't do anymore.

Anyone with me here? You feel the same?

Lata,
Bri

Yup I feel that same. Just think how many laws your break each day. It is amazing. Pretty much the police can find a law you break anytime they want. Such B.S.
On a side not I never been in trouble in my life until I moved up to New England. Now it seems I meet the police monthly.

if you think that is bad you should read up on laws that have been passed since september 11th. There are now laws on the books that all a cop has to do is say he thought it was a risk to national security to search cars and houses without warrants. They have also passed new laws on phone tapping and other interesting things. Plus they passed a lot of other laws that the average person doen't know about that will screw them in the near future. It is funny the things you find searching the net and watching the news at 3 in the morning.

ok.... another example brought to my attention 5 minutes ago.

Many of you may know I have parking lot near my house. I ride in it all the time. It's in an industrial park. It's behind another building way down back. The owner of the building (who I've talking with several times) has given me permission to ride there. He owns the building and uses it for storage purpose only. No one is ever in this parking lot and no one uses it for traffic purposes either.... it's basically an abandoned parking lot out back of some industrial park. So, one day the local PD is doing a routine check and hears my pipe. They come over to see what I'm doing. I tell them. No big deal because I have permission from the owner. Well, few months go by and someone calls the cops from the noise. I'm sure it's someone in another building trying to work but WTF, it's an industrial park.... trucks making noise all day and night. Plus, on the weekends their is a gun club blowing off all day. Anyway, the cops come the other day and tell my boys they will be receiving a summons in the mail for trespassing. My boys explain the situation... ya know, "The owner gave us permission". The cop says, "Yeah, well I'm taking it away". Sure enough, few days later, they get the notice. How much bullshit is this? How can they press trespassing charges without the owner or even a sign? Who is pressing charges.... the town? It's private property!!! *** THAT!!

Now my boys have to take time off work and go deal with this. Plus, they need to bother the owner to get written permission. It's complete horse ****. I would turn this around on the cops and get them for harassment. I mean, what next..... the cops will drive down my street and disagree with the amount of cars in my driveway and ticket them..... Maybe have them towed? COMPLETE BS!!

The point is, riding in that parking lot is perfectly legal.... and the cops still find a way to *** **** up. Here we are "keeping it off the streets" and "minding our own business" and they're giving us a hard time. Meanwhile there is someone cutting drug deals or breaking into a house.... maybe even speeding down main street.

Leave me alone!!! I'm not bothering anyone!!

Fuking cops!! I HATE COPS LIKE THAT!!

That's what I say. There's probably a house 2 doors down that's cranking out pounds of meth a day, and they're ****ing with you. It's ridiculous.

I was listening to mistress Carrie yesterday on the radio. She always has funny police stories. She was talking about some guy that rode his lawn mower to the local bar right down the street from his house. The cops showed up and later on he lost his lisence for 3 months for doing it. He lived in the sticks and hammered or not he can only go 4 mph so where's the big threat? Oh my god he might mow some of my lawn if he swerves. WTF!!
Some cops just have nothing better to do. It's ironic because every cop I know was a hellion child!
Maybe we should all carry a pack of donuts with us for bribes.
