Alright, my normal ride is an 03 750. For a sport bike, it's comfortable as hell. I've ridden on several bikes, and most of them are a little stiffer, but nowhere near what my friend's '02 F4i feels like. It feels like you're riding on solid frame almost. He's had 2 different used shocks in it, along with a Fox one. We've even went so far as to put a different swing arm, thinking maybe something was bound up. We're coming to the conclusion that maybe these bikes are really just THAT stiff. Doesn't seem right, though. Any input is appreciated.

I know this might be a dumb question but did u try decompressing the spring around the rear shock?? Might help loosen the suspension a bit.

 

what is the "sag" at? how much does your buddy weigh/height
