If you guys want dc power from you ac power read this. I did it to my 03 xr and a buddy's 92z50 and it works in addition to the msr voltage regulator. Iam not sure how much amperage that the little rectifier can take, but it is only like 3 dollars so no big loss if you burn it out. I left the main headlight ac because you can get more power out of it. I just have the rectifier and capicitor for a computer fan on my oil cooler. I think that the rectifier would have no problem pushing an led tail light or something small. http://www.allaboutcircuits.com/vol_6/chpt_5/6.html

Be careful that you dont overpower your electrical system with all the light **** because then your powerband wont be effective
and then u will have to buy the powerband upgarde kit.....that **** is hella expensive

Here is the switch gear I picked up from a bike junkyard for $25. It is off a KawZuki something or other. I wired it like this: The turn signal switch is used to control power to the lights front and rear. When it is in the left blinker position no power goes to any lights. When it is in the right blinker position the headlights and tail/brakelight are powered. I wanted to be able to cut power when I don't need the lights and other situations that might arise.

The headlights are aimed well now. I probably could get away with leaving them both 55w bulbs but I don't want to fail the moped inspection. I want a definite difference between Hi and Lo beam. Still have to paint the bracket. That will happen this winter when I have everything powdercoated.

Wiring harness for the headlights and handlebar switch. Kind of large for a little bike. My paint looks really whipped now.

These are the LEDs that I am using for the tail/brakelight. They slide into the red plastic housing which then is applied with double sided tape. I used them on my CBR for blinkers after I ripped off the stock blinkers. They were stuck on each side of my license plate in the rear. I just have to bend a bracket to mount them and the moped permit sticker on,wire them up and there ya go.

Here they are lit. They are very bright. BTW, I purchased them through a buddy. I think his supplier is http://www.radiantz.com/ .

Last one. I mounted the regulator(keeps the voltage from spiking high and frying your lights) inside the rear motor mount next to the airbox. Good spot for it.
