i got some new 50's this weekend, one for me and one for the woman.

what mods should i start with?

damn 05s. dont look like they changed anything.

 

Looks like the red is a slightly different color.

 

Didnt they change the graphics in the 05's?

 

yeah they only changed the colors of the lettering. 04 graphics have yellow, and black letters, while 05's have all silver letters. i personally like the 04 graphics better.


as far as mods, id recommend getting a bar kit, and heavy duty springs, front and rear. then go from there.

Anyhow, get some handlebars for 'em. That and stuff suspension, but you don't really need spings as bad, I still run stock suspension.

 

i meant 04's have yellow, and silver lettering. :D 05's have all silver lettering.

 

I originally bought 2 fifties. One for me, one for the lady. Some how I ended up with 2 for me, one dirt, one street. LOL.

 

you will need:

new handle bars
new springs

you may want:

street tires
XR50 tail plastic (the crf's back plastics are 3 seperate peices and get destroyed easier than the XR's 1 piece back plastic)
bigger/softer seat (you might want to wait a WHILE on this... people get over their asses hurting.. and it still hurts with a new seat if you ride enough..)

there's lots of crap you can do to these guys but i figured that would cover the basics...

deal wit the seat broham. u just got owned by the infamous FIDDYASS!! it will go away with lots of seat time. we all been through it man. keep yer head up. LOL

 

Just like they all said. I would start with big handle bars, front springs with bushings and a rear spring.
Then after that I would say street tires, and it is all down hill from there.

yup I concur with the fiddy *** it does go away. It doesn't bother me any more had that **** for about 3 weeks..

 

You should start by taking some nekkid pics of your girl on the 50 and post them on stuntlife !!!!!

Bars and front and rear HD springs. Street tires if your riding the streets, then just role that ****. You'll find more stuff later that you'll want Im sure.
