SON OF A!!!1 what psi do ya run..
Had my new street tires for two days and was tearing it up. Then today i'm rolling a wheelie down the street and hear pop, flop flop flop. Rear tube popped. I was running real low psi some i'm guessing thats the cause. What psi do you guys usually run? Anyone know of a local place that would stock a 2.5-3.5x10 tube? I was thinking of a farm store or something.

Street tires I run 30 PSI rear and around 25 front. You don't need low pressure to ride long wheelies. Many I ride with will back me up on that. If you run low pressure you will never get circles cause your tire will try to come off the bead. You can then kiss another tube goodbye.
I feel your pain. I just switched to my Starcross' and tonight I popped the rear tube. I don't know what did it but I am sick and tired of changing tires.I now have 5 tubes in the garage that are either popped or pinched with the tire irons. I thought I was getting good at changing them but apparently not.
I need another set of rims.

yes, dish soap on the back side of the bead and some time, and you can put them on with just your hands. I dont use tire spoons to put them back on you always pinch the tube.
What you guys run on dirt tires, they say 17 stock. Im doing about 18 now front and 20 back.

yeah use spoon, not screw drivers, spoons werk great, just get the edge of the spoon in there and go at it, take your time cuz you'll just cause yerself a headache if not.
ps did you still have the rimstrip in and in the flat position?
when you take your tire back off make sure you don't have anything in there, and if you can't find the 3.00 x 10 tube at the local dirtbike or street/scooter store then order a few offline, that size tire is common on some scooters.
we pinched one and we just patched it up good with a bicycle patch, I am the king of patching bike tubes so I tried the fiddy tube and we are golden.
BUT TRY THE LOCAL STORE. we got them here at HONDA EAST for 2.95 or 4.95 I forget.
peace
and goodluck

Re: SON OF A!!!1 what psi do ya run..
I did the same thing on my first tube.. But mine only lasted about 1 day before I blew it. I need to buy a tire guage that will fit on the tiny fifty wheels, because the one I have doesnt work. I have no idea what PSI Im running right now.
Re: SON OF A!!!1 what psi do ya run..
Yeah well the rear tire was the first one i did when i put the street tires on. I didn't notice that there was a little rim strip in their already and then i couldn't figure out why i couldn't get the valve stem through the hole in the rim. I ended up pulling out the rim strip and then realized what it was. But I had already put the tire on and everything so I decided to just ride it and risk that it would pop... which it did. So i'll have to put the strip back on when i put the new tube in, its not really any more work than before since i would have had to take it all apart to put the rim strip on, just now i have to pay for a tube...
