How do you like it? Was it hard to tune? What oil pump should I go with?

i have the takegawa 88 s-stage w/ cam and i've tried both the PC18 and PC20 but i hated them... the 18 was damn near impossible to tune (needed a much smaller main jet and they don't even make a pilot jet small enough for it), and the 20 worked great outta the box, but sucked ***** when it came to stunting (IMO). the carb will take away a LOT of low end torque and it also increased the throw of the throttle. it's all about preference but i got rid of all that stuff and rock the stock carb/intake (rejetted).

u guys are insane. stock carbs with big bores are for people who dont have patience to set up a 20mm. u arent gonna lose anything with a 20mm carb. the gains are so much its rediculous. take yer time and set it up. its worth it.

 

What oil pump should I buy? Wear can I get it from? ......is there anything else I'll need?

 

you dont need an oil pump for an 88 s-stage

If you aren't going to get a 20mm carb at least try to find a cheap used XR70 carb. Stock carbs on 88's are crap and you will NEVER get the power you are looking for. The motor will just be starving for more fuel/air.

 

Really?....Will I need clutch springs? Or a whole new clutch?
