I need some help diagnosing my **** up. I put a high volume oil pump and a TB 88kit in the 50 today. Went pretty smooth, everything went back together good. Got it all put back together and it started 2nd kick and ran good. So I took it down the street, got into 2nd gear a bit, everything was fine. Until I got back, shut it off, started it again, and it wouldnt go in gear. It wont budge when you try to click up into first, and when you click down it makes a gear griding noise. Its obviously something in the clutch area because of what its doing and that was the biggest pain in the *** part of the whole ordeal. There was a bunch of little parts and peices that I was sure I got put back together in the right order, etc.

Anyone got any ideas on what it might be? Any help is greatly appreciated.

try adjusting your clutch.

 

we ended up takin it back apart, we cant seem to get some of the pieces back together, its fackn cold, but wer gonna get it back together this weekend.

 

I'd say if you think your parts are all in the right place, (btw make sure any washers and shims on the shafts are behind/in front of whatever they should be), your clutch is adjusted wrong, the adjustment is in till it stops and out 1/4 turn on 50s right?
