Front Sprocket Removal

Hey All,

The other day I was changing the chain on my fiddy and noticed the front sprocket was a bit wobbly on the shaft. I want to take it off so I can check everything over. Yes, I see its held in place by two bolts but whats the best way to get them out? (I didnt want to just start cranking on them) Do I leave the bike in gear and remove them like any other bolt? Is there a special tool for this?

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

thx.

Re: Front Sprocket Removal

it is a floating sprocket....it is supposed to have a little wobble to it...allows the sprockets to wiggle a bit to keep contact w/ chain...also eases wear on the tranny. the two bolts are just standard bolts, turn left and they out.
