whats this wire do!?!?!
whats this wire do!?!?!
so i bought an 07 crf50 with a bunch of stunt parts and was told the rev box is bad.
after examining a small oil leak under the stator cover i realized there is a blue/yellow wire coming from behind the flywheel that isnt attached to anything. i tried to cut back some of the black plastic and 1cm long peices fell off intermidatly.
so i took the nut holding the flywheel on and dont know the proper way to pull it off so i decided to call it a night. im assuming it hooks to the blue/yellow seen in the harness coming out of stator somewhere.
my question is...wil this cause it not to spark?
and how do i pull the flywheel off?

Re: whats this wire do!?!?!
You won't get the flywheel off without a puller .
Where is the wire broken ? At the top of the flywheel , or at the lower right of the flywheel ?
That wire is very important . If you have taken the cover off , the flywheel is in plain view . Look to the lower right of it , and there is a flywheel sensor right there . That blue and yellow wire should be for that .
Behind the flywheel is the stator . The sensor is part of the stator assembly and wired with it .
On a stock fiddy with (everything assembled) , that blue and yellow wire comes from the stator harness , and out from behind the stator cover in plain view by your left foot with 1 other wire black/red , and they each plug into small one wire push connectors , blue/yellow to blue/yellow , black/red to black/red , into the bike harness .
Just try to fix the blue and yellow wire and see if the flywheel sensor is there on the outer lower side of flywheel . Sometimes it gets smashed off .
You can kind of see the flywheel sensor in the pic on the lower right .

Re: whats this wire do!?!?!
This is a stock motor , right ? Tell that guy who sold you the bike that he lied to you . He would have known if that was broke off and jb welded
Its all part of the stator . That little piece bolts to the side . Go to planetminis and askk to see some blown up pics of a stator .
