crf50 suspension questions
crf50 suspension questions
Just curious , would the 2inch lift in this kit http://www.esd-mfg.com/50stunt/suspe...tage_I_kit.htm make stunting easier, harder, or would it be a personal preference?
If i end up not selling my 50 i can get the (HD rear spring, HD forksprings) or get the (stage1 kit that is linked above). what are your thoughts?

Re: crf50 suspension questions
I have the Hd rear spring and fork springs from 50stunt and it helps alot. I weigh 170-175. I also got the new fork seals to help with slop. I works fine for stunting and trail riding. and the 2" lift effecting stunting is persoal preferance IMO
Re: crf50 suspension questions
Just make sure it's stiff. I've rode several 50's with taller suspension and if it's spongy and bouncy in the rear it can cause chain breaking/stretching issues and **** your throttle/engine braking all up like crazy in a wheelie.
Unless your jumping or are 2 big for the bike. Stock suspension works best for flat lot stunting IMHO. Until the rear shock craps out and starts to bottom out bad that is. Happened to mine but I just found a replacement heavier duty shock (without a 2" lift) and it stiffened up the rear while keeping same ride height as stock.
If it were me, I'd just beef up the springs and leave the height alone...but I only lot ride.
One more thing to consider is the possibility of needing longer control cables and wires if you lift it up. Just a thought.
