Re: Brake drum problem

Scuff up the brake shoes with sand paper to get the glaze off . Maybe run light sand paper on the inner drum surface too , a little .

Re: Brake drum problem

Try taking the brake arm off the brake panel and position it back one tooth or two .

i tried that its as far as it can be before the cable cnt reach it........il try that sand paper.....i already scuffed up the inner drum to take off the powder coating.........wen brakes engaged the shoes open up only about 3/4 the way......if i move the arm back the cable will not reach it.

Re: Brake drum problem

To give you an idea on where the brake arm should be positioned. This is a pic of mine off my 50, and from this position i can lock the rear wheel up completely. Dunno whats going on with yours, but figured i would try to help....=-)
