new to the whole fiddy thing!
new to the whole fiddy thing!
well i just got a 2005 crf50f, and im new to this whole dirt bike, bike scene. Ok i was wondering what would be the first thing i should get to start stunting and learning how? i was thinking pegs? could i just buy them bike pegs from walmart or something like that?
Re: new to the whole fiddy thing!
the 1st think you need to get is called a 50 box .... it comes with a postive and a negative cable and a on/off switch....you connect it to your battery ... it keeps the rpms at a steady level so your not chopping your throttle. Its a must have for those new to the 50 life.
it worked for me

id just set the bike up more for his weight because i think it would be a better idea then setting it up for you and him breaking it IMO

Re: new to the whole fiddy thing!
anything from 50stunt!! i just got a HD rear spring nd fork springs from them and love it!! the only hard part was applying heat on the rear spring (wasnt actually hard just idk if you have a propane torch) and on the fork springs using a vice ( again not actually hard just i dont have one so i had to go to my grandpa's house) but its all in now and i love it!! i also got fork bushings to reduce the slop in my forks. all together the suspension cost me $100 and only took 1 day to put in. it probably takes less time but i had to drive 30min each way to my grnadpa's. i also have 50stunt rear pegs and sprocket guard and love that too! and a 50stunt billet throttle/cable and its smooth as butter!! everything on there is costs cheap but is made great! and it comes w/ stickers and you can never have enough of those!!

pick up a big bar kit and upgrade our front and rear suspension then just ride.. you'll want street tires eventually and pegs and handbrake but if you wanna be low budget then just get the big bars and ride.
Re: new to the whole fiddy thing!
I would say get a BBR Big bar kit. You can go here to get it. http://www.crf50-parts.com/bbrhakitcrxr.html
Also deffidently get pegs at 50stunt.com and you should also get a suspension kit and street tires.
Thats what I run on my fiddy and its pretty cheap and it all works great.
