Re: gearing..
Just pick a gear and how far you wunna go, stock fiddy gearing is just fine for stunting, Break Control and balance is where its at!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont need big sprockets or big bores for ******* foos! Need Skills!
Re: gearing..
I'ld suggest sticking to first gear. First will teach you more of the technical aspects of a wheelie. The faster you go, the less side to side balance you need. Stab the RB a few times while in a good wheelie, just to learn the feel. Once you are confident that you can catch yourself from looping w/ the RB, you'll get it quick. Try not to shift gears. In a way, shifting is admitting to yourself that you don't have the control to keep the wheelie slow..............PRACTICE.......as said above.
Re: gearing..
Thanks guys! Im doing really well now I can hild them in second for about 400 feet and on the peggs till the road funs out! this **** is great!! Now I have to stop face plantinng on the stoppies but I guess thats a new post! haha Thanks again
Re: gearing..
no i wouldnt say that, you still have to pull up the front end (i have stock motor) i just like slow stuff and i quess there is a bit more throttle response. try it the gear and chain is cheap and if you dont like it put stock back on
Re: gearing..
Ive got a 1 week old CRF50 and i just mod'd the exhaust and put a better airfilter on and that was all i needed to do to open it up t have a little more power to pull the bike up with ease and hold 20 space wheelies without a problem within 20mins of riding.
