fiddy frame
Re: fiddy frame
I did mine about 3-4 yrs ago took the forks an swing-arm off and hit them with the scotch pad not sure how rough it was taped off anything I didn't want painted and then rattle canned it holding up pretty good I'll post up some pics later
Re: fiddy frame
im in the process of doing that right now...got everything except the frame done. Bead blasted the parts (then washed with water and throughly dried), sparyed with a sandable or self etching primer, spary painted enamel paint, let dry for 2 days (****** enamel), sanded, then sparyed an enamel clear coat...after that you can then sand, clear, sand, clear, sand then polish for the best quailty. but if you dont clean all the base paint and get clean metal your efforts wont be worth ****!
and and btw after paint something you really should use a wax for 2-3 months it could make the paint bubble...you can use a non wax product such as hand glaze by 3M.

Re: fiddy frame
if you ride dirt or anywhere that isnt asphault you probably would want to powercoat your frame/swingarm...normal paint wont hold up to much abuse.
in my other post above ^^ i meant to say you *shouldnt* use a wax produce (not should)
