cost to build your fiddy

Re: cost to build your fiddy
Always wanted billet rims but never found anything that was worth the money to me, lots of ugly simple billets out there. These are Motard50s/YKBmoto's, they only made a few sets then stopped making them. I finally found someone sellin a used set so I jumped on them...2" front and 3" rear:YEAH

Re: cost to build your fiddy
Sano/Five0 disk kit (bombshell is the manufacturer)- Nice feel and good stopping power when you first get the pads scuffed but they quickly fade and the rotor glazes over quick. Pads are $18 a set and I go threw a set in about 50 laps.
Hope mono mini m4 with 200 mm floating rotor- Very very very nice feel and stopping power is great but pads still fade too fast for me. This setup allows for me to go about 125 laps before needing to change them out. The difference here is the rotor doesnt glaze till there about wore out. The only down side is you need a custom hub, spokes, and caliper mount. I got my setup from K fab50's out of cincinnati, ohio. But the hub, adapter, spokes, wheel and brake setup carries a $500 price tag, to go along with the $500 sp5's and then another $70 to put oem fork seals and hd springs with 30 wt oil. I have about $1100 in the front end.
Extreme motor co front disk brake- this is on my buddies extreme cr2 which is about 4 years old. Still hasnt changed out the pads or even cleaned the rotor. I havent used this setup on the track but I have done an a$$ ton of stoppies as well as everyone else in the neighborhood and the brakes are still strong as hell. By far the best brake on a mini that I have found and the closest to a big bike setup as far as feel and stopping power. You can get the whole front end setup for $500 (wheel, brake caliper, rotor, forks, bearings,axel,controls,clamps,etc...)
If I were to rate this three in order it would be
1.Extreme front end (very cheap for what you get, great quality setup other than the bars but throw a set of pro taper se's and you cant beat it.
2.Hope mono mini (nice but expensive)
3.Five O or sano- nice for a little parking lot riding or stunting but would recommend on the track
4. Stock- stock is stock and needs adjusted often but hey atleast your not bending rotors or going threw pads like its your job
Oh and motor wise I am running a Prc 117cc stroker. Lightend crank and flywheel, port and polished head. Tb econo manaul clutch with billet basket, hd clutch plates and springs. Kitaco hd oil pump.Stock tranny. Mikuni 26mm round slide carb with uni air filter. Ignition- nology wire, stock coil, kitaco rev box. Gearing is16/34. Bike will wheelie in any gear and tops out with this gearing just over 60. Oh yeah and a classic ultima pipe.

heres a pic of circleville raceway. I have some Mid ohio mini gp pics from this past september but I am having trouble resizing them. I will say wear all your gear. I had a buddies front brake lock up on me on his prc108 and broke two ribs, and my collarbone this past summer.

Re: cost to build your fiddy
Thanks.....Have you tried different pads for your Hopes? I got the standard one that came with the caliper and I got another set of sintered from HOPE. And there is also about 5 other different aftermarket pads I can get for my caliper...

Re: cost to build your fiddy
04' crf 50-$875
red baron bar kit- $160
grips-$10
handbrake setup-$10
also put a trunk release button down in the steering head nut hole on the triple clamp for a kill switch, looks sweet. gonna prob. drop the dough on a 50 stunt handbrake advanced setup, but my $10 setup does the trick and the price was right
