Re: cost to build your fiddy

me and 2 of my friends have the knock offs. ours are great we have a true lifan motor and we get the 50stunt parts that normally break or at least something else of good quality and then tear them up. not really promoting them, get a honda if you can afford it, but ours ran us about 500 a peice including the upgrade parts and we put them through hell and back. btw all 3 were built from the ground up to make sure no loose bolts, poor quality welds, ect.

I have an 07 crf50. I've paid 3,300 so far for everything I have in it but it would cost anyone else around 3,650 because I got discounts on everything.

cost to build your fiddy

well my mom paid $50 for my z50 mini trail for my 6th birthday, then over the years my dad got me an air filter and some knobbies for it(prolly about $50). recently i decided to make it ridable again, and it cost me $35 for a new rear sprocket from the bolts loosening up on me and bending the stock one. then for my 21st bday my mom gave me $50 i put towards a manual clutch kit which came out to like $75 all said and done. final mod is a bbr pipe im waiting on in the mail that i paid $135 for.

so if my calculations are correct i have about $345 into my bike and it is still crazy fun. now i have a pretty big list of **** i am going to do to it tho. crf50 engine and pegs, new fenders, new headlight and taillight, re-covering the seat in lv print, custom tripple clamp w/ bike bars, 50 stunt rear brake lever, and maybe street tires

Re: cost to build your fiddy

You guys have some of the coolest ****** fiddys ive seen (but I dont see alot of fiddys) Anyways .... I've sat on 50's and 70's and they are both too small for me .... I'm riding and learnin on 80's and up.....
My opinion is that an xr or CRf 80 is better than a fifty.....cause it is just a little bigger to handle an adults size and weight better ....and it has a true clutch....(clutch it up skills to be learned here)
I've got 3 80's and an xr100 and none of them costed more than $1000.... the cheapest 80 I bought was $650 !!! and needed nothing but a good going through (oil change, brake adj, cable adj, chain adj, spoke adj. etc.)
basically for about $4000....I have a practice bike, a play bike...and a couple spares for friends or in case i blow one of them up or somethin' :YEAH

Theres a guy on planet minis that has lots of experience with Takegawa
124's and some good info, he did some calcualated estimated speeds for my set up..Heres what he came up with..

"For example purposes here, we'll use your 16/36T rear sprocket.

At 10,000 rpm, this will be the mechanical max speed in all gears if your motor has the horsepower to push it.

1 - 26mph
2 - 38
3 - 52
4 - 64
5 - 76

At 11,500 rpm with the same sprocket combination

1 - 30mph
2 - 44
3 - 59
4 - 74
5 - 87"
