shipping fiddys ?????????
Re: shipping fiddys ?????????
I heard something about the FAA not allowing internal combustion motors in baggage on passenger flights anymore. I think you have to ship it in a box through a shipping company.

it should fit on a standard size pallet get one of those stonrg (blue) chep ones (maybe from a lowes or home depot) with some eye bolts and tie down straps some shrink wrap for added precaution dont' forget to drain the oil, gas and take out the plug incase some jackazz tries to start it and trucking companies aren't supposed to ship enginges with any fluids in them haz-mat regulations you can go to any of their web sites and get a quote or you can try

From www.50ccracing.com/shipping_your_fiddie.htm
A guy made a box to ship his fiddy in. The crate cost about $50. The bottom is 1/2 ply, with a 1/2 ply doubler down the middle. Bolts come through the bottom for the 4 Ancra tie downs. A stiff oak frame around each end and down the sides that work as handles. The total weight was just few pounds under the UPS max of 150lbs, before they charge an extra overweight fee. The bars and front wheel come off but fit beside the bike in the box.

Just an fyi you don't have to use a freight company they're way expensive. On fedex ground its really isnt the weight that makes it expensive its the dimensions of the box. You want to pack it as tight as you feel comfortable with and still being safe.
