MIAMI (WSVN) -- A motorcyclist suffered a severed leg after attempting a stunt on the McCarther Causeway Friday night .

According to police, three men were doing wheelies on the roadway's westbound lanes, when one of them lost control. That out-of-control motorcyclist slammed into a guardrail, severing his right leg. The other two motorcyclists abandoned the scene before authorities could arrive.

Paramedics transported the 28-year-old to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in unknown condition, though he was alert and talking to fire rescue crews.

The crash forced deputies to shut down the causeway in both directions shortly after the accident. Both the eastbound and westbound lanes have since reopened.

Police are still investigating how the accident happened.

ya, it looks like a stock 1000rr. my guess it was a squid with his squid buddies. true stunters would have helped their buddy out.

 

if you were lying on the ground missing a leg i think i would stay and stop the bleeding till the ambulance got there.....

 

no ****. i guess we do it different in the midwest. maybe every man for himself when it involves running from a parking lot, but when it involves your friend's dying, running is the bitch way out. i guess not even just your friends, ANYONE that is injured

 

****, i was driving my truck to a dealer in NY to get some parts, i watched a kid on a tiller get run off the road and go down. i stopped, made sure he was ok, then grabbed his bike and loaded it in my truck. I always have a ramp and straps. then i drove him to 3 dealers to find his rearset, changed it for him, and sent him on his way. And he tried to pay me 100$ for doing it, and i didnt take it. I would hope someone would do that for me too.

 

if i ever crash i hope im with cj..lol

 

it was just some random kid too, never met him before, or ever will again. I just have a lot of respect for fellow bikers.
ive put harleys in my truck when i passed them pushing their bikes down the road, suprisingly the 2 times i did it, they were just out of gas.

by the way roger, i was in West Palm Beach last week, if you saw a line of exotic cars, that was me working. I hated coming back to Jersey, i think im gonna move to Fla. My job has a luxury apt in hollandale beach.

i wanted to, but i had no computer access there, or no bike.
i'm probably going back in january 20th area, and the internet will be hooked up in the new apt the company has. i will def hit you up then! rommel is there right now, chillen with tony prez, so you'll probably see him. He was there to do the toys fore tots charity ride with super speeders/ gotham dream cars.

 

i agree with awano...im not loosing my license going to jail loosing my bike cus sumone got hurt...thats the risk you take...i real friend wud tell his friends to go
