I wouldn't say I'd recommend that until they're smooth on idle..

Me personally, I couldnt catch idle doing staggered wheelies - I was pretty much doing what she was doing but as soon as I started doing FIB I caught idle within a couple of days. I guess each person learns differently but the fact that all the strain was off my arms and forearms made it easier for me

heck yea it does! after i saw them i was like.. hmm, i think i need to lean back more. because it feels like i'm back further than that but then i see it and realize i'm really not. and i agree that i look more cramped up than everyone else, will start straightening out next practice sesh

thanks and i'm assuming FIB is foot in the bar? i've never tried that but don't think it's possible on my bike because there is zero space between my tail and my 12 bar for my foot to fit in..

Word foot in bar. Like I said I was doing exactly what you were doing and then Mike told me to try FIB. Once I started just working on those I got idle within a couple of days coz it took all the strain off my arms. Iono - worked for me so just a though. Either way keep up the good work - youre killin ****

yea that's what someone else at our spot told me.. to just hit the bar on purpose so i'll be more comfortable going back. i've hit the bar at least 15 times now but never on purpose and i jumped off each time lol (that was before i learned out to work the rear brake effectively)

i can't fit my foot in my bar bc of the tail light but i can take my rear cowl off and try putting my foot in the trunk

Re: girlie wheelies

honestly.. you can try, but I wouldn't mess with it much until you got staggards slower. It's harder to keep your FIB leg straight at first and the bike wants to wobble more with your weight now towards the center of the bike once you start standing it up higher... if you got a left leg out on the passenger peg then you can keep it more stable cuz youve got weight on both sides, not in the middle.

if you wanna jump off the back don't forget to pull in your clutch and start running...Don't let go!!! Then pretty soon you'll be parking it on the bar!

I dunno... it's kinda easier to steer them FIB and FIS-hole, but if you can't control it's up and down yet, it might be harder to try to throw a new foot position into it for you and mess with the side to side while your'e at it... make sense? Like T-dubby said though....I'd try to move to that once you get idle goin pretty good with staggard and then move on... could be just me though?

I'm totally jelous you get to even ride!! Gotta love the midwest!

Re: girlie wheelies

yea i see what you're saying. wobble is no good lol. i'll be in the midwest pretty soon!! my mom moved to Missouri about 15 years ago, so i go out there to visit her on the holidays. gonna be out there for almost 2 weeks! prob gonna freeze my *** off as usual lol.

it's 60 degrees out here at night and i'm freezin to death! haha but atleast it's still ride-able weather ..only problem i have is getting someone to go with me!! buncha lazy *** stunt riders over here. sons goes when he can but he's very busy with Impaktech and doesn't get to ride much anymore. when all else fails tho i talk my dad into going every now and then so i won't get mugged or anything lol

Re: girlie wheelies

One step at a time I guess... and yea, That is the exact same problem as me. I live near KU and Lawrence Ks, and everyone around here rides in KCMO so I have to either ride by myself alot, or drive 45 min one way to the lot just to ride with someone else! get's old fast....

I ben bowhunting alot though lately, so that's how I deal with the cold around here.
Also it's good to hear that son is doin well...

LOL

Anyhow, just a couple pointers from a fellow squid! LOL
Get the front back a little higher, and try to get it right there at the clutch up... Honestly, I was surprised after hearing everyone beat it into my head so much about the importance of the rear brake at how LITTLE I actually am using it! My problem was always steppin on it too much, or too hard and killin it with the rear brake... that and I maybe rode 20 times this summer TOTAL and now it's in the 30's!!

oh, and is your idle turned up at all? And doesn't Son help you out??
on the exhaust whistle do you think it could be that the cat is bad? that is if its still on the bike? maybe it got hot or broke up?not sure just something to check!!!

it took me forever to be able to hit my bar and at the first the only way i could was clutch it up hard and hit my bar then ride it out this crazy dude that use to ride only give me and my friend two tips on catching idle and that was turn your idle up to like 6G and clutch it up till you hit lol def. works but your bike wont stay pretty long lol

and always keep your right foot againts your cover so you always know where your brake is
