I don't know what you need to do bro, but you can call one of these shops listed below, you might just want to keep your bike registered in Texas and save yourself the trouble...You're going to really like it out there... I'm in the process of trying to move back out there, I liked it that much... once you get out there, let me know.. I'll hook you up with some of my boys up in Oceanside (few in the Corps. still, a couple got out and still live up there) They aren't that big into stuntin (rather hit the twisties, track days ect.) but let me and hopefully I'll be out there before the fall... Hope this helps ya out..

Whats up dog. I was at Miramar for 3 years, now I'm rotting in Okinawa. You will have the best time of you life there. Bring your bike. There are so many placed to ride. Allot of moutains, and of coarse the beaches!!! Just be careful up at Palomar Moutain. I had a friend from MAG-11 side out in a corner and die on us!!! I lived in the barracks, and had my bike locked up out side with a cover on it. Never had one problem. No one ever messed with my bike. I still have allot of friends that ride there. Let me know and I'll hook you up with them. Most of them are from Crash Fire Rescue. I'm PMO. The one every one loves...... I still have a few boys from PMO at Miramar that ride also. They can also hook you up if you ever need it.... I envy you for going there.

I'd say keep your bike registered in Texas. Make sure you have your sticker to get on base as well. I was in San Diego for two years and kept my car and bike registered in FL and it kept me from having to deal with all that B.s.

Re: from texas going to miramar, take my bike?

Dude Oki blows goats!!!!!!!! It wouldnt be so bad if I had my bike, or my truck. My driving package was denied, even though I'm a NCO, because I was only coming to the island for 12 months. I dont think Oki would be that bad if I had a car. Besides that, you run out of things to do after 6 months. It is really humid, and the typhoons suck ***. My job out here is one hundred times worse then it was at Miramar. It's cool. Only 4 more months, and I leave Oki, and EAS. Almost there.....
