I am defenitly looked at as high risk by the command. Got hit by a truck a couple weeks ago but no seroius injuries so not that big of deal. It is defenitly a sport that isn't understood by the old folks that are in charge of everything.
Darkmind if you read this what is your story. It sounds like you were discharged for injuries from a motorcycle accident? What's the deal?

I had to go to court when I got stopped for not having a liscense. But the kicker was when my command got called because i was cuffed and stuffed. My XO was cool, and got me out of it, but his words were "one more makes strike three, then it's your . "

All my Staff NCOs laughed at my stupidity. At least 1/3 of the Marines in my unit rode a bike. Those who didn't, wanted to. Even the officers rode. So when I would dick up an endo and fall off my bike breaking my collarbone they were cool about it. I think if you're sick enough to join the Marines you're sick enough to ride. same personality type

Thats right guys i'm still in, and i am at the top of my commands list! If i'm even seen out on the road with my bike they are going to charge me! Thats why its in my storage unit. I work on it in there out of sight. If i want to ride i need to load it up in a truck or something and drive an hour or more away from here!

I got yelled at one time for leaving the main gate and busting a 2nd gear sit down wheelie all the way past the sqadron that was right next to the highway...... The best part was I was in uniform and a cop........ I think it was something like, "If I ever see that again I'll charge you and put you in jail.... You need to set an example, Although that was impresive were in uniform. I don't care what you do on your own time, Don't ever let me see that again." As you all know that was the shortened verson of getting chewed up one side and down the other......

Depends on your command. My roommate got busted for evading and the command sent tad to another shop, because he could of lost he security clearance. I have friend that got busted for reckless driving and the command doesn't do anything.

Good to know guys, I have boot camp soon and when I get out and ship my bike I was wondering what happens with the law if I get busted/aressted while in the service. Or if I go down and get injured, do they give me the boot, I know they have a zero tolerance for DUI's and **** like that. Thanks in advance, and write back soon, I depart in 3 days...

Instead of pissing them off about the bike, I really pissed them off when I crashed a hummer. I drove it straight into a huge f*ckin rock at 29palms during cax. It wasn't my fault the rock was there. Nobody got hurt but I had to write a report on it and get chewed out by every ******* on the base. Definetely a proud moment of my life.
