Re: Full Throttle master......

another thing to consider is the amount of fluid in the reservoir, if you have it completely filled to where you are pushing fluid out when you put the cap back on this leaves no room for fluid expansion when everything heats up and will cause your caliper to stick. It's good to leave a little bit of room in the res.

Re: Full Throttle master......

Thanks for the advise everyone. Just got the brembo put on tonight and it seemed to feel pretty good inside the garage. I wanna get out and try it, but this fricken weather will probably freeze the damn brake fluid.

I agree that theres always going to be a little slop, but you shouldnt have to pump it up. I get my 1 caliper setups within 1 pump after switching to HB the first pull goes in a little but after you release it, its tight as **** after that. Anything more then 1 pump and it had air stuck somewhere in the system, Ive also always overfilled my res's. Ive built and installed about 10 setups and theyve all been the same, most I used my own adaptors but I personally use the Full Throttle master....

Re: Full Throttle master......

I've always wondered if it was normal for the hand lever to come back slightly farther the first pull when going directly from foot to hand... after I let it go and get on it again it's back to normal. But that first pull will almost come back to the bar... sometimes almost causing me to eat sh*t.

Any info on why this happens? There's gotta be a tiny bubble of air somewhere in the system no?

a lot of it comes from the fact that the caliper piston had nestled back into the bore and the first pump snugs the pad to the rotor.
BUT air can do the same ****.

you also gotta be concious of the HB whenever you set your bike down- fluid will readily drain from the cylinder inside the HB out back into the reserviour when its upside down. I destroyed my stock tail last month- went up in a SS and the HB had ZERO pressure-talk about a scary feeling having your HB totally take a ****

Re: Full Throttle master......

I'm talkin about pressin down on the foot pedal, then immeadiatly grabing the handbrake as you let go of the foot brake.

This is the only time that I get a bit of slop, where the lever will come back all the way to the bar... any other time, even after an hour has passed, so long as the handbrake was used last I never get this little bit of lag, and it's hard and ready.

It's definetly not the piston going back into the bore.... I know this for sure.
