Full Throttle master......

Hand brake works fine, but for some reason the foot master sticks and locks the rear tire. After using the foot brake you have to pump the hand brake to get the caliper to unlock. Anyone ever have this problem or know how to fix it??

Is the return spring on your foot brake working? Anybody else?

Re: Full Throttle master......

Yep, spring is working and the pedal is coming back to its original position. The caliper just locks up. Its like the master is not allowing fluid to travel back through it.

i would take the lines off and blow them out with air and take the piston out of the caliper and throw some new seals in just to rule it out its cheap enough to do

Not true if you have to pump up youve got air in your system, when you bleed it %100 right there is no pump up required.....

Re: Full Throttle master......

Also make sure to check the shaft coming out of the rear master, make sure it is straight. Sometimes the rearsets get bent and you dont even notice and will cause that to go in wrong. I know Starboy Scott had this problem. If you think it might be something inside of the master, send it into Bill and you know hell take care of you.

Blew out the C clip 2 years ago at the SL comp, sent it in the following Monday, had a new one by Wednesday

I'm not talking about the pump.....it physically locks the caliper up. Its not the caliper either. Switched calipers whenever I got everything painted and it still acts the same. Gotta be somewhere in the master.

he knows how to use a hb and doesnt need to get used to it ... the caliper is sticking - rendering the footbrake useless

Re: Full Throttle master......

Yep, used to do it before when my bike was shitty looking. Painted up new clipers and put them on and it still does it. Gotta be lines, fittings or master. Putting on new brembo tonight so we'll see if that makes a difference.

Re: Full Throttle master......

yo, what are you using for your master on the clipon?

i had the same problem...brakes would lock...you probably have an aftermarket lever for a handbrake...this is the problem. as soon as i put a stock lever on my gixxer 600 front radial master, the problem went away.

i'll bet money that is the problem.
