Re: Zx6RR ZXx636r problem... help

id like to see some pics too, that sounds like a great idea cuz i just hydro locked the motor last week and thats kinda how i blew my r6 up last year. I took the main line from the air box and re-routed it to a catch can, so far that works but kanes idea sounds alot better and a lil bit more technical.

[QUOTE=Kaneone]so i went ahead and did it today....

i took off the valve cover. drilled a hole between the 2 and 3 spark plugs. (between the pair valves). made sure there was clearance for the stuff below, and had a magnesium spigot welded on.

Ran a hose fitting with a PCV valve inline on it... cut the air box and ran it up through the airbox and out the right (pipe side) ram air hole and attached a lil K&N filter. still with me?

went ahead than and block the rear crankcase vent with a large bolt and hose clamp.

we'll see how it works...

although food for thought, i was speaking to a friend and he was telling me how some of his ZX12R buddies on some other forum were talking about how they connected the Pair valve directly to the rear crankcase vent. i guess the pair valve produces a suction and changes the pressure or some thing like that.. but i dont think itll work for stunting cause when the bike is in a wheelie itll still suck up oil...

the way i did it.. SHOULD work.. but.. like i said. we will see..

bike started fine and sounds good.. hasnt exploded yet or anything! haha.

ill let yall know more next week.

if pictures are needed lemme know.

K, heres what Im gettin from this......(in the pic Im postin) Where the black X is is where i drill the hole for the spigot?......What size hole should I drill? and should i run a hose off of it and run it somewhere to put the breather on the end of it or can I just put the breather on the end of the spigot?

Its not just bar tricks that makes the oil spill though, happened to me on the eway a few times and on the street it sucks I know to have to do all this to fix the problem

mine leaks not just from bar tricks ryan.. the way i ride (IE: redline the whole time) my bike constantly spewed oil just from being around balance...

I drilled the hole right where that X is yes.. I used about a 3/8" bit.. welded on a 3/8" spigot (its magnesium if i remember right) than ran a rubber hose up and through the holes in the frame where the ram air goes and used a baby K&N filter at the end to plug it..
