Let us not take for granted our friends
for there may come a time when we need to take their hand
and tell them yes we do understand.
If not by choice
but by some plan.
They come to us to share only their love
and each and every one all from straight above.

This is my first post here, but I had to join and post after hearing about Ryans accident. He is a genuinely nice guy, who is a tribute to the sport! Godspeed on your recovery Ryan. You are in our prayers. Prayer request asked and fulfilled at church this morning.

Re: RYAN S. down !!!!!!!!!
I was in the process of designing a Get Well card for Ryan but due to the response of wishes I am now designing a book...an actual hard cover book. The printing company I use has offered this and now I want to put everything I can into it.
So I am asking anyone to share pictures, memories, thoughts get well wishes, etc. Please send them to my email at:
photosu2@centurytel.net
or you may just respond on here.
Thank you for your help!

Re: RYAN S. down !!!!!!!!!
Get well Bro. I cannot believe this has happened to you. Its a damn shame to see some one with the dedication you have go down like this. Use that same dedication to get past this and elevate yourself further..... My Prayers are with you
Re: RYAN S. down !!!!!!!!!
I called Ryan on Friday night, I was hoping he would be out riding and I could catch up with him since I hadn't been out riding with him in a long time and I had been over to his house the week before to look at a bike he is selling. I called him when I got to Janesville but he didn't answer. Later that night, Aric called me and told me what happened. At first, I was shocked and I didn't believe him. It really got to me to know that I had been calling him and he was already in the hospital.
I've known Ryan for a long time. I haven't spent as much time with him in recent years as I used to, but I wish nothing but the best for him and his family. I'm very happy to hear that things are looking up today, if only a little.
I think a benefit ride/show/whatever would be a good idea. I'm sure any amount of money or assistance would be well received.
The best of luck to Ryan in his recovery.

Re: RYAN S. down !!!!!!!!!
Ryan's dad called me earlier and shared the following update:
He said that Ryan is responding to their questions by nodding but cannot really open his eyes yet due to the swelling of his eyes from his concusion. He is trying hard though to open them! His mother had asked for Ryan to reach out and grab her hand and without knowing where she was he reached out and found her hand and grabbed a hold of it. That was a major milestone for him today. Because of the bleeding on the brain they are limiting too much interaction for being over stimulated may be more damaging then good at this point. He will be going into surgery tomorrow to make sure they have gotten all of the debris out of his leg. Then they will see what needs to be done where his foot was taken off. Where his femur is broken it appears to be a clean break which will help with the healing process when they do go in and put a rod in.
He will prob be in ICU for about 2 more weeks. He will have no visitors until they move him out of ICU. His father shared with me that their were tears today but they were tears of joy at the response they got from Ryan today. He at one point was trying to sit up...as he remains in ICU he has many milestones yet to go through.
For those that know Ryan...you know that he is a fighter and not a quiter. He has this amazing strength and determination that will help carry him through this. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers for this is just the beginning of his recovery. His family extends their gratitude of everyones kind words of encouragement and concern.
