Re: RYAN S. down !!!!!!!!!

I think many of us have experienced similar, but not as bad, situations to Ryan S'.

"he may want to cry, to shout or break some hospital furniture..". Yeah, I did that too and I was lucky enough to keep my (R) foot ... Butch is right, you need everyone to be with you. All I had in 1990 was my Chinese landlady bringing me soup (it was **** but I drank it) and some telephone calls from home (UK).

My point is, I know Ryan aint gonna sit this out ... as long as we all remind him of how he CAN get back to where is was at. And in my mind, there's no question that he will. Foot or no foot.

Peace

Jimbo

Re: RYAN S. down !!!!!!!!!

thanks for all the support guys, most of you never will know how much those posts help. i went through a lot on this one..... i never knew it was possible to wake up a month later in a hospital and not know what happned for a mont, but it's true!!! i had a flash back the other morning which made me cry like a baby, i came around the corner and the car was in my lane, i couldnt do anything but lesson the amount of impact
here's the low down on my injuries:

ribs 1-3 fractures
femur broke in half and exited my thigh
nasal and septum fractures
clavicle fracture
occipital candyle fracture (head injury)
T1 endplate fracture
C6 and T2 spincus process fractures
C7and T1 transverse process fractures
femur snapped in half and exited thigh
12 stiches on left arm
lost my left foot
pride

i will get a nice prostetic and i WILL stunt ride again, no doubt in my mind i will turn this positive some how, my thoughts are to go to high schools and promote helmet saftey, thats the only way i made it through all this alive, seriously, i snapped my z1R in half i want to save some lives and make a difference somehow in some young kid's life.

the girl that hit me will see me in a courtroom, this wasn't my fault, bottom line. the police handled everything completely unprofessional, told my neighbor about the accident and my neighbor was the one who told my parents, can you believe that?

It is great to see you posting again. All of the prayers definately paid off, stay positive and you will only get stronger each and every day.
I could not imagine waking up in that shape, I imagine it was very scary/confusing. And for the police to handle the situation like that is absolutely uncalled for. In the end all will work out for you, we will continue to wish the best for you in your recovery!!

I wouldnt want to do that either. One of the tasks I may of had to do if I got into a police dept years ago when I was trying to get in that line of work.

I was reading up on this a while ago, some air shifters can downshift too but the problem with the air shifters is not being able to go into neutral. Check http://www.kliktronic.co.uk/

Re: RYAN S. down !!!!!!!!!

Ryan, I'm glad you're okay, bro. 2 things: My best friend lost his left leg below the knee when some pill-addicted beotch crossed a double yellow and smacked him. He and I were out riding....happened right behind me. He has a prostetic leg and he comes over and skates my ramp all the time. He's good. Second: My neighbor lost his foot in the chain street racing. Now he races WERA and hes sick... No problems shifting for him. You had an accident about as major as they get. I hope that your recovery is fast. Check into herbal supplements like Spirulina for nerve and tendon growth. Get even healthier, feel better, and just take care of yourself. As for the girl that hit you.... I dunno. Just stay positive (but do sue the shiit out of her) I'm glad you're alive. -Woo
