Talking Track Day Schedule 2005

Well, due to my job being so exciting and busy I have had some time to put together a small list of track days that would be options for those of us in the Lafayette area, or Indiana in general. Mind you, this isn’t all of them, and I am not planning on going to all of them, but these were the ones that caught my eye, and are the ones that I would like to go to. If I could go to all of them, I would, it’s just not feasible. I also figure that anybody that would like to get together a group of people to go the any of these track days could use this thread to organize the event. I will keep tabs on the thread, and if I can be of any assistance in organizing a trip to the track for anyone, I will, so feel free to ask for help if it is needed.

The little list:

Any of the DESMO days or the Curve Chasers days. They were some of the better ones we attended last year, as far as not supper lots of people on the track at once.

Oh ya, you Sallie, you don’t need race plastic, live on the edge. Besides, if you mess the good stuff up, then you get race plastic for the street. Besides, there isn’t a car wash on the track, you should be fine.

If you guys come to Grattan, I'm thinking I might go to one this summer, whether I ride in it or not.

Re: Track Day Schedule 2005

Ya, I want to try to get to at least some of the other tracks, and Grattan was one of the ones that looked positive, with the weekends that they were running, compared to my schedule. We’ll see.

Couldn’t imagine anything more fun and relaxing. I mean it only took me about 3 hours to deal with getting the paint, stickers and what ever else was under the paint off of the tank, and I am at about 2 hours on the front fender, I don’t want to think about the lowers, or the upper, however, the tail looks like it should be interesting, but not as bad as the lowers. I just got to know, did you paint it in a dust storm, or what? Nonetheless, by the time you guys get back from Daytona, it should be a nice shade of gloss black, and look like a new bike, or at least I hope so. I mean, I don’t know if I could deal with being working on it for that long and it not being right. But, it’s all good, just don’t do it again, if need be call me and we’ll work something out.
